Althea Power

Line to Load.

Specialty electrical contractor across the full power delivery chain. Renewable generation and high-voltage transmission, through substations and medium-voltage distribution, to the commercial and mission-critical facilities at the end of the line.

Every voltage. Every phase.

Althea Power is a specialty electrical contractor working across the full power delivery chain — from renewable generation and high-voltage transmission, through substations and medium-voltage distribution, to the commercial and mission-critical facilities at the end of the line.

That range is deliberate. The same crews, testing discipline, and project controls that energize a 230 kV substation carry into a campus MV loop or a commercial service entrance. It lets us serve utilities, IPPs, renewable developers, EPCs, general contractors, and building owners from one organization, and it lets clients keep a single contractor across scopes that would otherwise be split.

Our work is self-performed by licensed journeymen and qualified electrical workers, with in-house project management, estimating, and commissioning support, under a documented safety program built around OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E, and client site requirements.

One contractor, the whole way down the line.

Power is generated, carried, stepped down, distributed and delivered. Althea Power self-performs the electrical work at every one of those stages, so the schedule-critical path stays with one crew and one set of controls.

  1. DC to 35 kV

    Generate

Utility-scale solar, wind and battery storage. DC collection through the point of interconnection.

  2. 69–500 kV

    Transmit

Overhead and underground transmission. New lines, rebuilds, relocations and interconnections.

  3. to 230 kV+

    Transform

Turnkey distribution and transmission substations, including work in energized yards.

  4. 5–35 kV

    Distribute

Campus, industrial and site distribution. Underground and overhead, tested through energization.

  5. 480 V

    Deliver

Mission-critical and commercial facilities, from the service entrance to the white space.

What we maintain

The crews that build the systems are the crews that keep them running.

Testing, preventive maintenance and emergency response across six kinds of infrastructure, where the maintenance window is the constraint and an unplanned trip is the failure condition.

How the work gets done.

Self-performed
Licensed journeymen and qualified electrical workers on our own payroll. The scopes that decide the schedule are not subcontracted.
In-house controls
Project management, estimating and commissioning support from the same organization that fields the crews.
Documented safety
A written program built around OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E and each client's site requirements.
Outage discipline
Switching coordination, clearance management and compressed-window execution, planned early and held to daily.
